Java Developer – Talent Pool

About the role

Discovery Insure is looking for a Java‑focused Developer to join its Talent Pool. You will design, build and maintain high‑performing, scalable systems that support the company’s innovative insurance products and services.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into technical designs that meet performance, security and scalability standards.
• Develop robust, maintainable Java code following Discovery’s architectural guidelines.
• Conduct unit testing, resolve defects and ensure code quality before hand‑over to the testing team.
• Collaborate with business analysts and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve technical issues.
• Provide technical support to system users, perform root‑cause analysis and assist in troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Self‑driven professional comfortable in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical abilities to investigate and resolve system errors.
• Ability to estimate development timelines based on business needs.

Required skills

• Java (core and related technologies).
• Experience with unit testing and defect resolution.
