IT Technician

About the role

Our client in Cape Town is seeking an IT Technician to support on‑site installations and maintenance for a range of customers. You will work closely with senior technicians, handling hardware and software setup, troubleshooting, and ensuring service quality.

Key responsibilities

• Assist technicians and installers with on‑site installations and maintenance projects.
• Support the setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware and software.
• Provide basic technical support and resolve technical issues under supervision.
• Perform equipment inspections, testing, and fault finding.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and service activities.
• Travel to customer sites as required while adhering to health and safety procedures.

Required profile

• CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications or equivalent qualifications.
• 2‑3 years of experience in technical support or a technician role.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• Valid driver’s licence and a reliable personal vehicle.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
