IT System Specialist

About the role

The IT System Specialist will provide day‑to‑day technical support and maintain the hotel’s IT infrastructure, business applications and end‑user systems. You will ensure reliable, secure, and efficient technology services that enhance both colleague productivity and the guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical support to staff, meeting agreed service level targets.
• Commission, deploy, migrate and de‑commission hardware, software, network devices and user access.
• Administer user accounts in Active Directory and Microsoft 365, including security groups and permissions.
• Install, configure, upgrade and maintain operating systems, applications and endpoint security solutions.
• Perform routine maintenance, health checks and troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, POS terminals and other end‑user equipment.
• Support hotel technology systems such as OPERA Cloud PMS, Simphony POS, telephony, CCTV, access control, guest Wi‑Fi and AV systems.
• Assist with LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, switches, routers, firewalls and internet connectivity management.
• Conduct acceptance testing and quality assurance for new hardware, software and technology solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in providing IT support within a hospitality or similar environment.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced setting.

Required skills

• Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration
• OPERA Cloud PMS and Simphony POS familiarity
• LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, switches, routers and firewalls
• Endpoint security solutions and Windows operating systems
• Hardware deployment, migration and de‑commissioning
• Network troubleshooting and user account management
