IT Support Technician – Onsite & Remote

About the role

RJ45 Networking Solutions is seeking a full-time IT Support Technician to work on-site in Cape Town. The role combines desk‑side support, remote assistance and client‑site visits to ensure SLA compliance and smooth operation of IT environments.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and select suitable technology to meet client objectives.
• Ensure monitoring, alerting and logging of operational systems and infrastructure.
• Provide multi‑platform support including desktop, server and cloud environments.
• Deliver remote support and manage the support desk for multiple clients.
• Perform on‑site visits to client premises and, when required, be posted at a client location.
• Produce daily and weekly progress reports for senior managers.
• Continuously develop IT knowledge and introduce new technologies where appropriate.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of desktop support experience, primarily with Microsoft products.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and written skills.
• Ability to multitask, manage projects and work independently.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle for client travel.
• Professional appearance and confident demeanor.
