IT Manager – Lead IT Infrastructure & Support

About the role

Our client, a respected technology and security service provider, is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead its IT infrastructure and support functions. Based in Techno Park, Centurion, the role focuses on delivering reliable, secure, and high‑performing IT services to a diverse portfolio of industries.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the IT Infrastructure and IT Support teams, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Manage day‑to‑day IT operations, ensuring performance, availability, security, stability and operational excellence.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver IT projects on time and within budget while maintaining clear stakeholder communication.
• Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, SLAs, costs and procurement activities.
• Control IT budgets and ensure cost‑effective use of technology resources.
• Ensure compliance with POPIA, ISO standards, organisational policies and internal governance.
• Develop, implement and maintain IT policies, standards and operational procedures.
• Coordinate incident response, problem management, service restoration and root‑cause analysis.
• Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders by delivering proactive, customer‑focused technology solutions.
• Manage IT assets, licensing and procurement processes to support business continuity.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading IT infrastructure and support teams.
• Strong background in managing IT operations, projects and budgets.
• Demonstrated ability to work with vendors and negotiate contracts and SLAs.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as POPIA and ISO standards.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
