IT Governance Specialist

About the role

The IT Governance Specialist will design, implement and oversee governance frameworks that align IT strategy with business objectives. Reporting to the Head of Business Technology, this role ensures regulatory compliance, manages IT risks and standardises processes across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive IT governance frameworks aligned with industry standards.
• Develop IT policies, procedures and standards across the organisation.
• Create governance metrics and KPIs, and monitor performance dashboards.
• Ensure alignment between IT strategy and business objectives.
• Monitor compliance with IT‑related regulations and conduct risk assessments.
• Oversee IT audit activities and coordinate with internal and external auditors.
• Manage IT compliance reporting and documentation.
• Conduct SLA reviews, identify process improvement opportunities and drive automation.
• Standardise service delivery processes and implement change‑management procedures.
• Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives and maintain proper documentation.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field.
• 5‑8 years of experience in IT governance, audit, compliance or risk management.
• Proven ability to implement governance frameworks and manage IT risks.
• Strong business analysis, strategic thinking and communication skills.
• Experience translating business requirements into IT controls.
