IT Coordinator

About the role

The IT Coordinator will be the digital heartbeat of Mama Shelter Cape Town, ensuring that all technology runs smoothly during the pre‑opening phase and beyond. You will work closely with the hotel’s departments, the central IT team and Ennismore support functions to deliver reliable systems and a seamless guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day IT support to hotel staff, troubleshooting hardware, software, network and system issues.
• Support the setup, maintenance and effective use of hotel technology systems in line with Mama and Ennismore standards.
• Assist with pre‑opening IT tasks such as system installations, user access provisioning, hardware deployment and overall technology readiness.
• Offer guidance, training and timely solutions to colleagues across all departments.
• Promote and follow IT security standards, data‑protection practices and access‑control policies.
• Maintain accurate records of IT equipment, manage inventory and ensure proper asset maintenance.
• Coordinate with external IT providers and vendors to resolve issues and manage service contracts.

Required profile

• Proactive and detail‑oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills to support hotel staff and interact with external vendors.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced hospitality environment, especially during a pre‑opening phase.
