Inventory Controller & Storeman – Satellite Technology

About the role

We are looking for a meticulous inventory professional to manage stores for high‑tech satellite hardware. The role involves controlling receipt, storage, issuing, and traceability of electronic and mechanical components.

Key responsibilities

• Control receipt, storage, issuing and traceability of electronic/mechanical components and consumables.
• Maintain ESD‑safe handling, dry storage for moisture‑sensitive devices, lot/batch traceability and FIFO date‑code control.
• Prepare production kits, perform cycle counts/stocktakes and keep the stock management system up‑to‑date.
• Handle dispatch/packaging, local collections/deliveries and procure operational consumables.
• Support compliance with quality standards such as AS9100 and ISO 9001 where applicable.

Required profile

• National Technical Certificate (N4) minimum or equivalent diploma/qualification.
• Minimum 3 years experience in inventory control or stores within an electronic, mechatronic or manufacturing environment.
• Valid Code B (08) driver’s licence.
• South African citizenship or work authorisation.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Bill of Materials (BOM) reading.
• Part identification.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (preferred).
