Inventory Consultant – Supply Chain Optimization

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Consultant to join our supply chain team and drive inventory optimization for our manufacturing clients. In this role you will assess current inventory processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement strategies to reduce carrying costs while improving accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, analyze, and optimize inventory management processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Reduce carrying costs and enhance inventory accuracy.
• Identify obsolete stock, recover costs, and remove it from the warehouse and system.
• Monitor performance of inventory staff and ensure compliance with policies.
• Implement and enforce inventory management policies across the organization.

Required profile

• BCom degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Strong ability to monitor inventory levels in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working in operational roles within manufacturing.
• Proven track record of identifying and managing obsolete stock.
• Capability to oversee and improve inventory staff performance.
