Internal Sales Representative - JHB Branch

About the role

Bonpak, a leading packaging company in Modderfontein, Gauteng, is seeking an Internal Sales Representative for its Johannesburg branch. The role focuses on driving sales, managing key accounts and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction within the FMCG sector.

Key responsibilities

• Generate sales by proactively contacting existing customers and identifying upselling and cross‑selling opportunities.
• Process orders accurately, monitor status, and coordinate with warehouse, procurement and finance teams.
• Maintain up‑to‑date customer records, communication logs and account details.
• Handle customer enquiries, complaints and order issues promptly to ensure retention.
• Prepare quotations, pro‑forma invoices and support debtor management and account compliance.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) required; a diploma or certificate in Sales, Business Administration or related field is advantageous.
• 3–5 years of experience in internal sales, telesales or customer service within the FMCG industry.
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets and experience working with resellers, wholesalers or distributors.
• Strong communication, negotiation and organisational abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook
• Familiarity with the K8 system (advantageous)
