Internal Sales Representative

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Internal Sales Representative to join our team in Johannesburg. The role focuses on managing customer accounts within the corrugating and packaging sector, processing quotations and orders, and supporting the external sales team to meet targets.

Key responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries and deliver excellent service.
• Prepare, follow up and issue quotations for corrugated packaging products.
• Process sales orders accurately and coordinate with production, procurement and dispatch.
• Maintain and grow existing customer accounts while identifying new business opportunities.
• Ensure pricing aligns with company margins and keep price lists up‑to‑date.
• Resolve customer queries and complaints promptly.
• Monitor stock levels, communicate lead times and manage delivery schedules.
• Prepare sales reports and keep customer records current in the ERP system.
• Support external sales representatives with administrative and service tasks.
• Achieve monthly sales targets and key performance indicators.

Required profile

• Previous internal sales experience in the corrugating, packaging or manufacturing industry.
• Matric/Grade 12; a sales or business‑related qualification is advantageous.
• Valid driver’s licence is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and pay strong attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using ERP systems.
• Familiarity with Sage Pastel or similar ERP software.
