Internal Auditor & Risk Manager

About the role

An established organisation in the agricultural and operational sector is looking for a skilled Internal Auditor & Risk Manager. The role involves leading audit and risk functions across three branches, ensuring governance, compliance and operational efficiency while travelling regularly between sites.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement risk‑based internal audit plans.
• Conduct financial, operational and compliance audits across multiple branches.
• Identify risks, control weaknesses and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare detailed audit reports with practical recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, governance frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Engage senior management and stakeholders effectively.
• Lead, mentor and support the internal audit team.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within assurance and risk management.
• Monitor implementation of audit findings and corrective actions.
• Assist in strengthening internal controls and risk mitigation strategies.
• Travel regularly to operational sites to perform audits and assessments.

Required profile

• Relevant BCom degree with completed articles.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in internal audit and/or risk management.
• Strong knowledge of internal audit practices, risk management, governance and compliance frameworks.
• Proven leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
• Excellent analytical, communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• High attention to detail and strong professional ethics.
• Willingness to travel regularly between operational sites.
