Internal Auditing Learnership Programme

About the role

Standard Bank offers a 24‑month Internal Auditing Learnership designed to give young South Africans hands‑on experience in internal audit while working towards an Occupational Certificate. You will rotate through audit assignments, receive formal training and develop the core competencies needed for a career in audit and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior auditors in planning and executing audit steps under supervision.
• Analyse departmental operations for compliance with business standards.
• Identify control deficiencies, suggest improvements and document findings.
• Prepare working papers and evidence to support audit reports.
• Ensure adherence to group policies and standards.
• Manage your own workload and time effectively.

Required profile

• South African citizen under 30 years of age.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Not enrolled in any other learnership or academic programme.
• Undergraduate degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Management, Auditing, Finance, Economics, Engineering, ESG, Insurance, Risk Management or related fields.
