Installation Technician – Vehicle Tracking & Security

About the role

Install, maintain and troubleshoot vehicle tracking, telematics and security systems to a consistently high technical standard, ensuring reliability, discretion and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Install vehicle tracking units, telematics systems and related security devices in a wide range of vehicles.
• Conduct fault‑finding and technical diagnostics on installed systems.
• Ensure neat, concealed and compliant installations according to company standards.
• Test all installed devices for functionality and signal performance before handover.
• Perform maintenance, removals, upgrades and replacements as required.
• Complete accurate installation documentation on time.
• Communicate professionally with customers during on‑site installations.
• Escalate technical issues that require advanced intervention.
• Maintain tools, equipment and company assets responsibly.

Required profile

• Proven technical installation experience in vehicle tracking, auto‑electrical, car audio/accessories, telematics or fleet electronics.
• Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems, wiring diagrams, relays, fuse systems and fault diagnosis.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.
• Ability to work independently in field environments.
