Inhouse Talent Acquisition Consultant

About the role

Our client, a long‑standing family‑owned export trading business in Durban, is expanding its in‑house recruitment team. The Inhouse Talent Acquisition Consultant will be based at the Morningside Head Office and will report to the Recruitment Manager, delivering end‑to‑end hiring for multiple subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full recruitment lifecycle from vacancy intake to offer acceptance and hand‑over to HR.
• Source candidates locally and internationally using direct search, internal databases, referrals and LinkedIn outreach.
• Build and maintain a centralised talent database and shared pipelines across the group.
• Partner with subsidiary leaders to understand hiring needs, translate them into role requirements and sourcing strategies.
• Conduct screening interviews, coordinate assessments, manage reference checks and present structured candidate summaries.
• Manage offers, candidate communication and ensure timely onboarding.
• Monitor recruitment metrics, identify risks or delays early and drive timely delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience in in‑house recruitment, preferably within a multi‑subsidiary environment.
• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to work independently and meet results‑oriented targets.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Detail‑oriented with solid organisational and time‑management abilities.
