In‑house Talent Acquisition Consultant

About the role

Our client, a long‑standing family‑owned export trading business in Durban, is seeking an In‑house Talent Acquisition Consultant to join their busy recruitment team. The role is full‑time, onsite at the Morningside head office, and reports to the Recruitment Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver end‑to‑end recruitment for multiple subsidiaries and business units, from vacancy notification to offer acceptance and hand‑over to HR.
• Source local and international talent through direct search, internal databases, referrals, LinkedIn and targeted outreach.
• Build and maintain a centralised talent database and shared pipelines across the group.
• Conduct screening interviews, coordinate assessments, manage reference checks and present candidates in a structured format.
• Partner with subsidiary leadership, identify internal promotion opportunities and ensure consistent recruitment standards.
• Maintain accurate ATS data, recruitment trackers and role allocation across entities.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an in‑house recruiter who works independently and takes ownership of results.
• Strong sourcing discipline with the ability to build and leverage talent pipelines.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple requisitions concurrently.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive in identifying risks or delays and driving hiring delivery.
