Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to own the day‑to‑day operation and resilience of Rohloff Group’s core IT environment. You will ensure servers, networks, storage, backup and security controls remain available, secure and recoverable while coordinating with external service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support on‑premise server and virtual infrastructure, including patching, upgrades and capacity monitoring.
• Monitor infrastructure health, performance and availability, and resolve incidents within agreed service levels.
• Manage enterprise backup solutions, validate backup integrity and coordinate recovery and disaster‑recovery testing.
• Support LAN, WAN, VPN, firewall, wireless and core network connectivity across sites and corporate offices.
• Administer user access, identity management and security permissions in Microsoft 365, Azure and endpoint management platforms.
• Monitor security alerts, assist with investigations and ensure compliance with information‑security policies.
• Coordinate activities with outsourced infrastructure and cybersecurity partners, tracking incidents, risks and service‑level performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing on‑premise and virtual server environments.
• Strong understanding of backup, disaster‑recovery and business‑continuity processes.
• Hands‑on knowledge of network technologies (LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, wireless).
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure and endpoint‑management/security tools.
• Ability to work with external vendors and enforce service‑level agreements.
