Infrastructure Advisory Associate

About the role

We are seeking an Infrastructure Advisory Associate to support strategic advisory and project finance mandates across public and private sectors. The role involves developing financial models, conducting investment appraisals, and assisting with transaction execution from feasibility to closing.

Key responsibilities

• Develop complex financial models and perform investment appraisals for infrastructure projects.
• Conduct commercial, financial and operational due diligence.
• Prepare feasibility studies, business cases, investment memoranda and client presentations.
• Support transaction execution, procurement processes and commercial negotiations.
• Assist in project finance structuring, funding solutions and valuations.
• Engage with clients, financiers, government entities and other stakeholders.
• Monitor project performance and provide strategic financial recommendations.
• Research industry, market and economic trends to inform advisory engagements.

Required profile

• Honours degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or related field.
• Professional qualification such as CA(SA), CFA, MBA or FMVA is advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in infrastructure advisory, corporate finance, project finance, investment banking or management consulting.
• Strong analytical, report writing and stakeholder engagement abilities.
