Information Technology Solutions Manager

About the role

The Information Technology Solutions Manager will lead AVI’s enterprise‑wide networks, voice, security operations and IT facilities. Reporting to the Infrastructure Executive, this senior leader is accountable for architecture direction, infrastructure governance and risk management across the group.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multi‑disciplinary teams responsible for WAN and LAN architecture (wired and wireless)
• Oversee enterprise voice and contact‑centre platforms
• Manage Security Operations and SIEM environments
• Direct IT hosting, facilities and environmental infrastructure
• Ensure power‑resilience systems (generators, solar, inverters, backup)
• Maintain PCI‑aligned environments and compliance obligations
• Supervise CCTV and surveillance infrastructure across sites
• Own escalation for major outages, security exposures and infrastructure failures
• Define and govern enterprise connectivity and security architecture strategy (5‑7 year horizon)
• Oversee lifecycle planning, capital investment alignment and regulatory compliance (South African standards)
• Embed monitoring maturity, predictive capacity management and change governance
• Present structured risk, performance and resilience reporting to senior stakeholders
• Build a succession‑ready leadership layer and elevate technical maturity across disciplines

Required profile

• Established enterprise leader with senior‑level experience in IT infrastructure, networking and security
• Proven ability to drive strategic planning over a 5‑7 year horizon
• Strong governance, risk‑management and regulatory‑compliance background
• Excellent decision‑making under pressure and capability to defend architectural choices
• Demonstrated leadership in building high‑performing, accountable teams
