Industrial Designer – Product Development & Manufacturing

About the role

We are a growing product development company focused on high-quality, artisanal children’s goods, educational kits and unique gifts. We are looking for a versatile Industrial Designer who will take ideas from sketch to physical production, packaging and digital storefronts.

Key responsibilities

• Translate concepts into functional product designs, including wooden toys, educational kits and artisanal gifts.
• Build physical prototypes and create 2D vector layouts for manufacturing, ensuring seamless execution on CNC routers, laser cutters, UV printers and other workshop equipment.
• Operate and manage workshop machinery such as CNC routers, laser cutters, UV flatbed printers, vinyl cutters and Cricut machines.
• Design structural and graphic packaging that enhances the unboxing experience while protecting the product.
• Produce in-house product photography, edit images and create digital and print marketing assets.
• Upload new product listings, write optimized descriptions and manage imagery on the company website and external e-commerce platforms.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Product Design, Industrial Design or a closely related field.
• 3-5+ years of proven experience in product design or a production environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong aesthetic sensibility and the ability to learn new technical and digital skills quickly.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator (expert use of paths, layers and vector layouts).
• Hands-on experience with CNC routers, laser cutters, UV flatbed printers, vinyl cutters and Cricut software.
• Ability to create precise 2D vector layouts for production setup.
• Competence in navigating e-commerce backend systems for product uploads and image management.
