Industrial Designer – Product Development & Industrialisation

About the role

We are looking for an Industrial Designer to lead the design, development and industrialisation of new and existing products. You will work across the full product lifecycle, from concept and specification through to qualification, production support and field deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop new product systems while ensuring ergonomics, performance and manufacturability.
• Investigate and resolve design issues, optimise existing designs to reduce cost and improve efficiency.
• Create and maintain product specifications, qualification documentation and production support packs (CAD illustrations, BOMs, test instructions, assembly guides).
• Collaborate with local and Chinese suppliers to verify tooling, ensure compliance with technical requirements and support industrialisation activities.
• Provide technical support during manufacturing, conduct product testing against international standards and maintain ISO‑9001 documentation.
• Work cross‑functionally with R&D, management and production teams to define timelines, budgets and feasibility.

Required profile

• Proven experience in product design and industrialisation within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of Human‑Centred Design and ergonomic principles.
• Ability to balance simplicity, cost efficiency, accuracy and manufacturability.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
