Independent Contractor Lecturer – Accounting

About the role

The NewBridge Graduate Institute seeks an Independent Contractor to deliver high‑quality lectures in Accounting and related subjects. You will design and present course material, guide student discussions, and support practical learning to ensure a comprehensive academic experience.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, workshops and tutorials in Taxation, Auditing, Financial Accounting, Financial Management and Accounting.
• Design, update and maintain curriculum, instructional materials and digital resources.
• Create and administer assessments, grade assignments and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate academic records and monitor student progress.
• Offer academic advice, hold consultation hours and respond to student inquiries.
• Contribute to curriculum development and ensure alignment with current industry standards and accreditation requirements.
• Participate in departmental committees, policy development and continuous professional development activities.
• Promote an inclusive classroom environment that supports diversity, equity and inclusion.

Required profile

• BCom Honours (NQF Level 8) or Masters (NQF 9) in Financial Management and/or Accounting.
• Prior lecturing experience, both in‑person and online, is an advantage.
• Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in the learning environment.
