Income Controller

About the role

The Income Controller will safeguard Mama Shelter's revenue flow during the pre‑opening phase in Cape Town. Working closely with the Finance team and operational departments, you will ensure that all revenue streams are accurately recorded and reported.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control revenue streams including rooms, food & beverage, and other hotel income.
• Review daily sales, cashier reports, discounts, rebates and adjustments to identify discrepancies.
• Perform daily reconciliations between operational systems, payment channels and financial records.
• Maintain strong internal controls around revenue processes and support audit compliance.
• Ensure accurate use of hotel systems such as PMS, POS and finance platforms.
• Oversee cash handling procedures, credit‑card transactions, deposits and payment settlements.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Food & Beverage and other departments to align financial processes.
