Income Controller

About the role

We are looking for an Income Controller to safeguard the revenue flow of Mama Shelter Cape Town during its pre‑opening phase. The role works closely with the Finance team and operational departments to ensure that every transaction is recorded accurately and that revenue data is reliable.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control all revenue streams (rooms, food & beverage, other hotel income) to guarantee accurate recording and reporting.
• Review daily sales, cashier, discount, rebate and adjustment reports to detect discrepancies.
• Perform daily reconciliations between operational systems, payment channels and financial records.
• Maintain strong internal controls around revenue processes and support audit compliance.
• Ensure correct use of hotel systems (PMS, POS, finance) and uphold data integrity in revenue reporting.
• Oversee cash handling, credit‑card transactions, deposits and payment settlements.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Food & Beverage and other departments to align operational and financial information.

Required profile

• Experience in revenue control or finance within a hospitality environment.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
• Ability to work independently and partner with multiple operational teams.
