Immigration & Compliance Operations Specialist (Remote, EST Hours)

About the role

We are seeking an Immigration & Compliance Operations Specialist to support a US‑based healthcare organization. The role is fully remote from South Africa and works on EST business hours, reporting to the Director of Compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate immigration filings, amendments, renewals and withdrawals with external counsel and internal teams.
• Maintain up‑to‑date case records, trackers and documentation to ensure deadlines are visible.
• Manage recruitment agreements, powers of attorney and related follow‑up.
• Research federal and state employment requirements and translate findings into clear recommendations and policies.
• Review and update contracts, addenda, templates and compliance records.
• Identify documentation gaps, escalate issues when needed and respond to routine employee compliance enquiries.
• Collaborate with leadership, employees, counsel and cross‑functional teams to keep projects moving forward.

Required profile

• Highly organized and detail‑oriented with a strong sense of ownership.
• Able to conduct independent research and solve problems while recognizing when escalation is required.
• Excellent written communication skills for translating research into actionable recommendations.
