ICT Administrator (Infrastructure & Systems)

About the role

The client is looking for an experienced ICT Administrator / Supervisor to oversee the full ICT environment across multiple operational sites in Stutterheim. The role covers infrastructure, networks, cloud services, internal applications, cybersecurity, user support and project delivery, ensuring high availability of production‑critical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide ICT support across multiple sites, handling incidents and escalations.
• Manage server infrastructure, VMware environments and SAN storage.
• Administer network components including firewalls, routers, switches, WAN, Wi‑Fi and failover solutions.
• Oversee Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive) and Azure Active Directory.
• Handle identity and access management, onboarding and off‑boarding processes.
• Maintain backups (Veeam or similar), endpoint security and disaster recovery procedures.
• Support internal applications built with Node.js, Express, EJS and SQL Server databases.
• Lead ICT projects, system upgrades, rollouts and user acceptance testing.
• Manage vendors, licensing and ICT asset registers.
• Supervise ICT team members and enforce governance standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 + years of ICT/systems administration experience.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience in an ICT team.
• Strong background with Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Experience in hybrid cloud and on‑premise environments; Linux experience is a plus.
• BSc in Information Technology, Information Systems or related field.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate; Azure Fundamentals (AZ‑900) and Security Fundamentals (SC‑900) are advantageous, as is MikroTik MTCNA.
