Hygiene Assistant

About the role

The Hygiene Assistant is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation across multiple client sites. You will work directly with customers, ensuring that all washroom and sanitary areas are serviced efficiently and safely.

Key responsibilities

• Perform deep‑cleaning tasks on client premises according to service procedures.
• Deliver consumable orders and keep chemical supplies (sanitising powder, deep‑cleaning chemicals) stocked.
• Service sanitary bins and dispose of waste in compliance with regulations.
• Complete daily and monthly service allocations on time and return unused stock to the warehouse.
• Report equipment issues, client complaints, incidents or accidents to supervisors.
• Maintain equipment in good working order and wear required PPE and uniform.
• Adhere to health‑and‑safety policies and company procedures.
• Assist with warehouse, office and vehicle housekeeping as directed.

Required profile

• Grade 12/Matric certificate.
• Previous hygiene or cleaning experience is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication and ability to multitask.
