HVAC Assistant – Montana (Pretoria)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated HVAC Assistant to support our technical team in the Montana area of Pretoria. The role involves hands‑on assistance with installation, maintenance and repair of air‑conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration systems in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior HVAC technicians with the installation, servicing and repair of HVAC equipment.
• Perform basic fault‑finding and troubleshooting under supervision.
• Prepare sites, set up tools and equipment, and ensure safety compliance.
• Carry out routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, system checks and documentation.
• Load, unload and transport HVAC materials and maintain a tidy work area.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of experience working with HVAC systems.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport (preferred).
• Physically fit and able to work in varied site conditions.
• Willingness to work overtime and respond to emergency call‑outs.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of residential, commercial or industrial HVAC systems.
• Ability to use hand tools and basic HVAC equipment.
• Fundamental understanding of electrical and mechanical components related to HVAC.
• Fault‑finding and troubleshooting skills.
