Human Resource Administrator & Operations Manager

About the role

The Human Resource Administrator & Operations Manager will oversee daily HR administration and support the operational efficiency of our South African business. The role ensures compliance with local labour legislation while managing office functions, procurement, and service provider relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate full recruitment cycles, from advertising to onboarding.
• Prepare employment contracts, letters and maintain accurate employee records.
• Administer leave, attendance, overtime, benefits and payroll inputs.
• Ensure compliance with the Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Employment Equity Act, POPIA and related legislation.
• Support disciplinary, grievance, incapacity and performance management processes.
• Develop, implement and maintain HR policies, procedures and training programmes.
• Oversee daily office operations, procurement and supplier management.
• Assist finance with purchase orders, invoices and administrative documentation.
• Maintain health and safety compliance and support facilities management.
• Coordinate cross‑departmental projects and strategic operational initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Psychology or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in HR administration and office operations.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation.
• Experience coordinating payroll and HR documentation.
• Excellent organisational, planning and communication skills.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and a valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with HRIS or ERP systems.
