Human Capital Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Human Capital Manager to lead our HR function, partnering directly with the CEO and executive team to drive people and business strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Human Capital function, providing strategic and hands‑on support.
• Partner with the CEO, Exco and leadership on people and business priorities.
• Drive BBBEE, Employment Equity, transformation and change‑management initiatives.
• Oversee learning and development, talent management and succession planning.
• Manage employee relations, engagement, performance and culture.
• Ensure effective HC policies, governance, compliance and payroll oversight.
• Lead, develop and empower the HC team and provide commercially focused advice.

Required profile

• Relevant HR or Human Capital degree.
• 10+ years broad HR/HC experience, with at least 5 years in senior management.
• Strong experience in BBBEE/EE, transformation, employee relations, learning & development, succession planning, performance management, talent and change management.
• Deep knowledge of South African labour legislation, policies, governance and payroll processes.
• Proven ability to lead and develop an HR team.
• Experience in operational sectors such as wholesale, logistics, transport, energy, manufacturing, FMCG, retail or automotive.
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
• Willingness to travel within the Western Cape.

What we offer

• Salary range R1,000,000 – R1,260,000 per annum inclusive of benefits, negotiable based on experience.
