About the Role

Join our Global HR Services team in Johannesburg as an HR Services Partner. Working within our high-performing HR Hub, you will play a critical role in supporting key operational processes for multiple Glencore offices worldwide in a fast-paced, global matrix environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes, including contract preparation, amendments, and termination agreements in compliance with local and global requirements.
  • Manage employee lifecycle transactions within Workday, ensuring data accuracy and timely updates for payroll cycles.
  • Deliver administrative HR documentation strictly adhering to defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Oversee the full onboarding journey: offer acceptance, Workday profile creation, induction scheduling, and coordination with IT and office services.
  • Support inter-company transfers and manage digital employee files (e-files) to ensure compliance.
  • Act as a key point of contact for employees and managers via HR service channels (email, portal, ticketing system).
  • Generate and validate monthly and quarterly reports within Workday to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Identify, escalate, and track the resolution of HR incidents and complex issues to regional managers.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience working in a Shared Services Center (SSC) or a global HR Hub environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
  • High level of attention to detail and a strong customer-centric mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively across different jurisdictions and time zones.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Workday (HRIS) is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of HR administrative processes and employee lifecycle management.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with global stakeholders.
  • Advanced data management and reporting capabilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with high confidentiality.
