HR Officer

About the role

A well‑established organisation is seeking a qualified Human Resources Officer to join its head office team. The role offers a chance to work across recruitment, employee relations, performance management, talent management and HR administration.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate full recruitment and selection processes with line managers.
• Support and manage industrial and employee relations matters, including disciplinary enquiries and grievance procedures.
• Represent the company at the CCMA when required.
• Drive performance management processes such as probation, appraisals and poor‑performance counselling.
• Provide HR policy guidance and act as the main point of contact for employees and managers.
• Analyse HR metrics to identify trends and deliver insights.
• Manage talent management activities, including succession planning and talent reviews.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and complete HR administration within deadlines.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Senior Certificate – Essential.
• Human Resources Degree or Diploma – Essential.
• Valid driver’s licence – Essential.
• 3–5 years’ experience as an HR Generalist with solid employee‑relations and industrial‑relations exposure.
• Experience coordinating disciplinary and grievance processes and representing an employer at the CCMA.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Advanced Excel skills.
