HR Manager – Luxury 5‑Star Hotel

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead the people function for a prestigious 5‑star hotel in Cape Town. The role combines strategic HR leadership with hands‑on operational support to create a high‑performance culture that enhances both employee satisfaction and guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead employee and labour relations, ensuring compliance with South African legislation.
• Drive recruitment, onboarding, talent acquisition, succession planning and workforce planning.
• Provide guidance to managers on performance management, disciplinary actions and employee development.
• Develop and implement training programmes that support operational excellence and guest satisfaction.
• Oversee payroll, benefits, leave administration, performance appraisal systems and HR reporting.
• Promote health, safety and wellbeing initiatives across the hotel.

Required profile

• Degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of HR management experience, preferably within a 5‑star hotel.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour law and HR best practices.
• South African citizen or permanent resident.
