HR Consultant

About the role

Join Hollywoodbets' Purple Team as an HR Consultant and support the company’s rapid growth across Africa and the United Kingdom. You will be responsible for workforce planning, succession planning and industrial relations while delivering end‑to‑end recruitment and onboarding processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment cycle for middle‑management positions, from requisition approval to candidate shortlisting.
• Draft and place internal and external job advertisements, ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Conduct competency‑based interviews, coordinate interview panels and provide feedback to all candidates.
• Oversee pre‑employment checks, compile candidate documentation and create personal files for new hires.
• Submit new employee details to payroll before monthly cut‑off dates.
• Coordinate onboarding and induction programmes to ensure a smooth transition for new team members.
• Support performance management by helping develop job descriptions and facilitating evaluation processes.
• Maintain knowledge of South African labour legislation (EE Act, BCEA, Labour Relations Act) and apply it where relevant.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s licence.
• 2–3 years of experience in an HR role or equivalent.
• Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field, or currently studying towards one.
• Knowledge of South African labour legislation is a strong advantage.
