HR Business Manager (Manufacturing)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced HR Business Manager to lead the Human Resources function within our manufacturing operation. The successful candidate will shape HR strategy, ensure compliance, and drive employee engagement in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor HR strategies, policies and procedures aligned with business objectives.
• Provide strategic and operational HR advice to management and act as a trusted HR business partner.
• Manage employee relations and industrial relations matters, including disciplinary hearings, grievance handling and CCMA representation.
• Oversee end‑to‑end recruitment, selection, onboarding and talent management processes.
• Ensure compliance with the Labour Relations Act and other employment legislation.
• Maintain accurate HR records, reports and employee data while safeguarding confidentiality.
• Drive continuous improvement of HR processes, systems and employee engagement initiatives.

Required profile

• Confident HR professional with strong commercial awareness.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Highly organised, analytical, objective and able to handle confidential information.
• Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, manufacturing environment.
