HR Administrator – City Deep, Johannesburg

About the role

Our client in the FMCG food industry is looking for an HR Administrator to join their dynamic team in City Deep, Johannesburg. The role requires 3‑4 years of experience in HR administration and offers a full‑time, onsite position.

Key responsibilities

• Manage recruitment activities including posting adverts, scheduling interviews, and drafting regret letters.
• Coordinate internal and external training, maintain training records, and conduct HR inductions.
• Oversee fixed‑term contracts (FTCs), keep trackers up‑to‑date, and support contract renewals and terminations.
• Maintain employee files, disciplinary records, and ensure all documentation is current.
• Handle employment equity and skills development meetings, including minute taking.
• Administer transport cost verification, invoice processing, and related HR expenses.
• Provide general HR support such as answering phone/WhatsApp lines, ordering stationery, and managing the training room.

Required profile

• Proactive, energetic, reliable and punctual with strong attention to detail.
• Confidential, trustworthy and able to work well in a team environment.
• Diploma or equivalent qualification in HR with 2‑4 years of HR experience.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
