Housekeeping Porter - Luxury Boutique Hotel (Franschhoek)

About the role

A luxury boutique hotel in Franschhoek is looking for experienced Housekeeping Porters. The role suits positive, energetic people who can multitask at a faster-than-average pace, with strong attention to detail and organisational skills. A clear criminal record and a valid driver's licence are compulsory.

Key responsibilities

• Supply rooms with clean linen, towels and supplies, and collect and deliver dirty laundry
• Perform deep cleaning such as carpet cleaning, window washing, mattress cleaning, high dusting and polishing of furniture and curtain rails
• Set up guest rooms with special amenities or decorations for special occasions
• Stock and record mini bars, and set up in-room bar trolleys according to the menu list
• Transport housekeepers between areas on golf carts when required
• Carry out rotational cleaning of public areas and keep furnishings, facilities and equipment in good repair
• Move furniture and assist with the dispatch and reception of outsourced laundry
• Attend to guests' requests and enquiries courteously and efficiently, and follow health and safety standards

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in a luxury hotel or similar
• Matric certificate
• Good communication skills in English
• High level of physical endurance and a keen eye for detail
• Valid driver's licence and ability to work shifts, including night shift
• South African citizens or permanent residents; no work permit applications accepted
• Preference for candidates living in Franschhoek or nearby areas
