Housekeeping Coordinator

About the role

The Housekeeping Coordinator is the central communication hub for the Housekeeping Department at a luxury hotel. This role ensures smooth daily operations by managing room assignments, guest requests, and administrative tasks while supporting the housekeeping team.

Key responsibilities

• Handle all housekeeping communications, including emails, phone calls, and internal correspondence.
• Allocate rooms and inform staff of arrivals, departures, VIP guests, long stays, and special requests.
• Record, follow up, and resolve guest requests and complaints to maintain high satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records of room status, out‑of‑order rooms, maintenance issues, lost‑and‑found items, and key control.
• Coordinate maintenance requests and ensure repairs are completed before guest arrivals.
• Prepare daily room attendant schedules, staffing requirements, and payroll submissions.
• Maintain filing systems, departmental logs, office supplies, and housekeeping office standards.
• Liaise with Front Office, Engineering, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.

Required profile

• Strong communication and customer‑service abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure.
• Basic mathematical and reporting competence.
• Previous hospitality experience preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Property Management Systems (PMS).
