Housekeeping Attendant – Guest Rooms

About the role

The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for delivering high‑quality cleaning and preparation of guest rooms at One&Only Cape Town. The role ensures every room meets the brand’s standards of cleanliness, comfort and presentation, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and deep‑clean guest rooms to required standards, including balconies.
• Prepare rooms for arriving guests, ensuring all amenities, linens and minibar are stocked.
• Maintain cleanliness of housekeeping trolleys, server rooms and caddies.
• Set up and keep inspection rooms tidy before 09:00 each day.
• Verify in‑room directories, resort booklets and promotional materials are up‑to‑date.
• Replenish pantry supplies and keep the pantry orderly.
• Follow health and safety procedures, including proper chemical usage and reporting defects.
• Communicate with IRD for removal of room service trays and complete evening turn‑down tasks.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to exceeding guest expectations.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently following SOPs and health‑safety regulations.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with internal teams.
• Flexibility to perform additional duties as assigned.
