Hostess – Front of House & Stock Support

About the role

The Capital Hotels is looking for a motivated Hostess to join our front‑of‑house team. You will be responsible for delivering friendly, fast, and efficient food and beverage service across the restaurant, room service, and function areas while also supporting stock management.

Key responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to guests in the restaurant, rooms, and event spaces.
• Maintain a clean and welcoming front‑of‑house environment.
• Assist with stock handling, inventory checks, and replenishment.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and courteously.

Required profile

• Matric (high‑school) qualification.
• Previous restaurant experience is essential.
• Calm under pressure with a hands‑on problem‑solving approach.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills with guests and staff.
• Honest, trustworthy, and detail‑oriented.
• Presentable, well‑spoken, and proactive.
• Willingness to work shifts; relocation costs are the applicant’s responsibility.
