Hospitality Internship – 18 Month Programme

About the role

Transnet Freight Rail offers an 18‑month Hospitality Internship designed to give recent TVET graduates practical workplace experience. The programme combines institutional knowledge with on‑the‑job training, mentorship and exposure to industry‑specific tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in hospitality operations at the Kilnerpark site.
• Support administrative and customer‑service activities.
• Engage in structured training sessions and mentorship.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver quality service.
• Conduct research, analysis and conflict‑resolution activities as required.

Required profile

• South African citizen, aged 18‑35.
• Unemployed graduate from a registered TVET college with completed theoretical training.
• No bursary obligation and no prior work experience required.
• Must provide CV, grade‑12 certificate, qualification statements, identity document and proof of address.
