About the role
The Hospital Porter is responsible for moving patients safely between wards and procedure areas, supporting pharmacy logistics and ensuring timely delivery of reports and images to clinical teams. The role also includes maintaining a tidy and safe work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Collect and return ward patients scheduled for procedures.
- Assist with pharmacy porter duties as needed.
- Maintain and check the whiteboard schedule throughout the day.
- Deliver reports and images to wards and doctors' suites.
- Keep all work areas, passages, wheelchairs and gurneys neat and tidy.
Required profile
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience dealing with customers.
