About the role
The Hospital Porter supports patient movement, staff transport, and essential logistics within the hospital environment.
Key responsibilities
- Transfer and escort patients within the hospital.
- Perform general driving duties and transport staff as needed.
- Deliver and collect blood samples.
- Provide messenger services when required.
- Maintain client service standards to meet expectations.
Required profile
- Minimum Grade 12 qualification.
- Valid EB and PDP driver’s licence (minimum 4 years validity).
- Previous experience in a similar environment.
- Proficiency in English and good knowledge of the city centre and surrounding areas.
- Good health, sober habits, and strong attendance record.
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, weekends, and public holidays.
