Home Manager – Elderly Care Facility

About the role

The Home Manager will lead the day‑to‑day operations of Huis Uitsig, an elderly care residence, ensuring a safe, friendly environment and the development of community‑based services for older persons.

Key responsibilities

• Operationalise the strategic vision and optimise use of resources and services.
• Supervise nursing care services and ensure quality standards.
• Manage financial and human‑resource functions in collaboration with a multi‑disciplinary team.
• Lead marketing, communication and fundraising activities to sustain service delivery.
• Oversee asset management, occupational health and safety programmes, and facility maintenance.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, partners and community networks.

Required profile

• Post‑matric qualification with proven management experience.
• Strong leadership and team‑motivation abilities.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems promptly.
• Knowledge of personnel and financial management, labour legislation, fundraising and marketing.
• Understanding of the unique challenges in social care and development work.
