About the role
The Home Manager will lead Huis Martina, an elderly care residence, in delivering safe, friendly, and high‑quality services. Reporting directly to the Governing Board, the manager will translate strategic vision into daily operations and ensure optimal use of resources.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise nursing care services and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Oversee financial management, budgeting, and human‑resource functions.
- Develop and implement marketing, communication, and fundraising initiatives to sustain services.
- Manage assets, maintenance, and occupational health & safety programmes.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, partners, and community networks.
Required profile
- Post‑matric qualification with proven management experience.
- Strong leadership and team‑motivation abilities.
- Ability to identify and resolve operational problems promptly.
- Knowledge of personnel and financial management, labour legislation, fundraising, and marketing.
- Understanding of social‑care dynamics and elderly‑care challenges.

- Computer skills (office applications, basic management software).
