High School Life Sciences Teacher

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and intellectually curious Life Sciences teacher to join our high school from January 2027. The role involves delivering engaging, rigorous, and accessible science education that connects classroom learning to the wider world.

Key responsibilities

• Teach the Life Sciences curriculum to FET and Grade 12 learners.
• Plan and conduct practical laboratory sessions that reinforce theoretical concepts.
• Integrate educational technology to enhance learning experiences.
• Contribute actively to the school community and collaborate with colleagues.
• Support the academic, social and emotional development of students.

Required profile

• Proven experience teaching Life Sciences at secondary level.
• Strong knowledge of FET and Grade 12 Life Sciences standards.
• Demonstrated ability to create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Commitment to student wellbeing and holistic development.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of the Life Sciences curriculum.
