Heavy Vehicle Driver (9-16 t) – BUCO Phalaborwa

About the role

We are looking for a reliable driver to operate heavy‑duty vehicles (9 000–16 000 kg) for the BUCO division in Phalaborwa. The role involves delivering goods safely and efficiently to retail stores while maintaining the vehicle and providing excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver goods to store clients, ensuring timely and safe arrival.
• Pack the vehicle neatly and secure loads to prevent damage.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any defects.
• Assist with loading and supervise the loading process.
• Maintain accurate delivery notes, authorisations, and collect cash‑on‑delivery payments.
• Monitor vehicle costs and work to reduce expenses.
• Provide customer service and uphold company values.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
• Valid Code 10 (Heavy Vehicle) or Code 8 (Light Vehicle) licence.
• At least 2 years of relevant driving experience.

Required skills

• Safe driving and load securing techniques.
• Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance awareness.
• Accurate record‑keeping for deliveries and COD collections.
