Heavy Motor Vehicle Driver (Code 14) - Air Freight

About the role

Rohlig-Grindrod is recruiting a Heavy Motor Vehicle Driver for its Air Freight division, based at the Cape Town Airfreight Branch. This is a permanent position for experienced Code 14 drivers who have industry-related heavy vehicle driving experience.

Key responsibilities

• Operate heavy motor vehicles
• Maintain the assigned motor vehicle
• Collect and deliver freight
• Follow carrier and freight movement procedures
• Support ad hoc operational requirements

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Valid Code 14 driver's licence
• At least 5 years' Code 14 driving experience in a related industry
• Knowledge of relevant sections of the Road Traffic Act
• Knowledge of local geography
• Understanding of freight movement requirements
• Planning and option-analysis skills
