Head of Strategic Development

About the role

Qoolize is looking for a Head of Strategic Development to lead carrier acquisition and interconnect initiatives worldwide. Reporting to the Voice Director, you will shape the company’s voice‑over‑IP strategy and drive growth across new markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead carrier acquisition and new interconnect development across target markets.
• Identify, approach, negotiate with, and onboard new telecom carriers and wholesale partners.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of strategic partnership opportunities.
• Develop new voice corridors, bidirectional traffic opportunities and related product lines such as ITFS and DID.
• Negotiate interconnection agreements, pricing, traffic commitments and commercial terms.
• Create market‑entry and account‑development strategies for priority regions.
• Collaborate with routing, technical, finance and operations teams to ensure seamless implementation.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in international voice, wholesale telecommunications, carrier acquisition or business development.
• Proven success in identifying, approaching and onboarding new carriers and interconnect partners.
• Strong network within the international voice and wholesale telecom industry.
• Commercially driven, proactive and able to convert opportunities into sustainable business.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of voice trading, interconnections and bilateral agreements.
• Understanding of routing, pricing and margin management.
• Strong negotiation and relationship‑management abilities.
• Analytical, strategic planning and forecasting capabilities.
