Head of Organisation Effectiveness – Hospital Group

About the role

The Head of Organisation Effectiveness will lead the design, implementation and institutionalisation of organisational effectiveness practices across the hospital group’s head office and its hospitals. This senior role partners with the executive committee, functional heads and people & culture to embed a scalable operating model that drives clarity, accountability and execution discipline.

Key responsibilities

• Translate the operating model into practical ways of working, governance routines, decision‑rights and accountability mechanisms.
• Define, document and embed governance forums, escalation pathways and operating rhythms to reduce friction and improve alignment between corporate and hospital sites.
• Lead enterprise organisation‑design initiatives, delivering diagnostics, options analysis and implementation plans for structures, roles, spans of control and reporting lines.
• Maintain up‑to‑date organograms, role profiles, job descriptions, RACI matrices and accountability frameworks.
• Establish clear role outcomes, success measures and leadership expectations, and embed performance‑management tools and routines.
• Build manager capability in setting expectations, giving feedback and conducting performance conversations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in organisational design, effectiveness or change enablement within large, complex organisations.
• Strong stakeholder‑management skills, able to influence senior leaders and cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent analytical and diagnostic abilities, with a track record of delivering actionable recommendations.
• Ability to translate strategic intent into operational processes and governance structures.
